K S Madhavan, an Electrical Engineer by profession
has extensive strategic business management and project
management experience. He has good grasp of both technical
and Management aspects, and has been able to successfully
address technological as well as man-management angles
with excellent results. He has focused on tapping the
full Creative Potential in organisations, Quality Improvement,
Marketing and Financial Strategies for achieving excellent
results for his companies.
Madhavan has over three decades of experience in setting
up of new projects and managing as Managing Director
/ President / Executive Director of companies –
ABB, Sundaram Clayton – a TVS Group Company, S
& S Power Switchgear, GEC – Alsthom (now Alstom)
and Tecumseh Products India. His forte lies in turning
around sick companies (has turned around 5 major manufacturing
organisations including MNCs and brought them up to
No.1 position in India).
Madhavan is an expert in introducing and implementing
Japanese Management Systems in companies transforming
them into world-class organisations. He has been closely
associated with the management systems and styles of
over twenty countries and has intensely studied the
advanced systems of management, both European and American
Systems, as also the Japanese, and believes that India
can benefit substantially by practising the Japanese
systems effectively.
He was awarded the “Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana Award”
for his contribution to the Electrical Power Sector
in 1995. He was also honoured by the Delhi Telugu Academy
with a National Award for his valuable contribution
for the year 2000 in the field of Industry for ‘Business
Solutions’. He has been recognized by the CIGRE,
Paris as a “Distinguished Member” of the
body. He was nominated as one of the Men of the Millennium
by Economic Times as well as Indian Express in Andhra
Pradesh.
He is the Founder and Managing Trustee of AMC Trust
and believes strongly that cancer can be cured by a
combination of therapies particularly Yoga and Nutrition
Management.
